Volunteer at the ReStore:
In June of 2012, HFHGL opened a ReStore in Billerica at 257 Boston Road (the former Iversen Ford Building). The ReStore accepts donations for resale and all the funds raised by the ReStore provide direct support of Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build more affordable homes. Habitat for Humanity depends on the help of volunteers – you can help build a house without ever having to step onto a build site by helping at the ReStore where all the profits go to build more homes. We offer people a hand up – not a hand out and it is “hands” that we are very much in need of now and throughout the summer. Our ReStore needs adult (18+) volunteers to help keep the ReStore operating. Younger volunteers are certainly always welcome if accompanied by an adult who will supervise them. Jobs include – loading/unloading truck; cleaning items for display, pricing, repurposing, online sales, etc. If you are interested in “giving back to your community” and are looking for a great volunteer opportunity, we would certainly welcome your help.
