The Chelmsford Military Community Covenant was established by the Chelmsford Board of Selectmen in 2009, in partnership with Hanscom AFB as a formal effort to support military families living in Chelmsford. The primary purpose of the program is to make Chelmsford feel more like home for military by drawing upon a support network of volunteers and contributions from the local business community.
Chinese Bible Church of Lowell (CBCGL) was established in 1989. CBCGL has three congregations that speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. We have English and Chinese Worship on Sundays and fellowship and AWANA on Fridays.
Compassus Hospice is actively seeking administrative volunteers, direct care volunteers for patients at end of life and specialty volunteers providing music therapy, art therapy, pet therapy (certification resources available ) or energy healing volunteers certified in reiki or polarity. Training is free and no experience is necessary. As a team we are helping to contribute making a difference in the lives of others with compassionate and heart felt companionship.
We identify and promote programs which are designed to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents who are 60 years of age and older. Special Services include transportation, nutrition, health, outreach, respite care, home care, fuel assistance, Adult Supportive Day Program, Meals on Wheels, Friendly Visitor Program, support groups, recreational & social activities, the “Senior Citizen Messenger” monthly newsletter, and information & referral.
Shoulder to Shoulder is a family-centered, peer-to-peer program offering weekly visits in the home or community to support families faced with the unique challenges that accompany military service.
Our mission is to provide for people with disabilities the support needed to live, work, learn, grow, and participate to their fullest potential in their community.
To benefit its members by exchanging information and ideas and to provide its membership with educational, supportive, and social activities. We also seek to benefit others in need of information on multiple gestation pregnancy, childcare, child rearing, friendship and support.
The objective of the club is to stimulate the knowledge and love of horticulture, floriculture, and landscape design, to aid in the protection and conservation of natural resources; to promote civic beautification and roadside improvement and to offer socialization and friendship.
Table of Plenty in Chelmsford is a non-profit organization consisting of volunteers who desire to share community with those in need, through a free weekly meal. All are welcome. No questions asked.
We are a community action agency which provides affordable housing, child care resource and referral services, energy conservation, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Head Start, Family Foundation Network, Foster Grandparent Program, fuel assistance, Housing Consumer Education Center, Family Homeless Shelters, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Senior Companion Program, Women Infants & Children (WIC) Program, YouthBuild Program, Free Income Tax Assistance Program.
